Howdy! Today I went to the Soda Fountain in Ocean Park, Maine. The soda fountain is in the town that I stay in almost every year. I got Mint Explosian and Milky Way in a plain cone. It was so good! When I tried my mom's ice cream, ( she got Cinnamon Coffe Cake) I froze because the cinnamon was so strong. It was good, but it was not my favorite.My FAVORITE was Milky Way! Milky Way is a rich chocolate with oreo crumble and a thick caramel swirl. My dad got coconut, I was reluctant to try it, but it tasted pretty good. I love the old fashioned style and all of the friendly people that work there. I'd give Milky Way 4 out of 5 scoops! Tomorrow I will continue my search for the ultimate 5 scoop ice cream at the Soda Fountain.....

ReplyDeleteOut of the ice cream you have described....I'd choose the Milky Way too. Although the coconut sounds intriguing because I'm not sure I've ever heard of that kind of ice cream. Now drizzle that with a little chocolate sauce and it could be called "Mounds", add a little almond and it could be called "Almond Joy!".
I love that people are so creative with their ice cream selections. When I was a kid (yes wayyyy back then...) there were only the usual kind and Mint Chocolate Chip was the exotic flavor!
Can't wait for you to find a "5" - looking forward to seeing which ice cream shop can boast "Maddie's Ultimate Choice!"
